On Saturday, May 22nd, “The Village” was on full display once again as Positive Impact New York hosted its 2nd Annual Team PINY Bike-A-Thon at Grumman Memorial Park in Calverton, NY.

18 bikers showed up on a beautiful spring morning and pedaled 20 miles to raise money for Positive Impact New York (PINY) to educate student-athletes and their parents about the NCAA Eligibility Process. PINY will also use the funds to assist children and families in underserved communities.

Once again, our event co-sponsor Kreb Cycles provided the bike maintenance for our participants while Bean and Bagel Cafe made sure all the participants were fed and hydrated before and after their ride.

Through the collective fundraising efforts from members of our alumni board and the 76 supporters who showed their support through pledges and donations, the event raised $9,447.50 and counting! Every dollar helps Positive Impact New York provide student-athletes and their families academic, athletic and social programming and they’re counting on us to help educate them so that they may turn their college and career dreams into reality.
